This interactive 3D visualization of Typhoon Mangkhut flies our readers into the eye of the powerful storm as it slammed the Philippines in the fall of 2018.

Inspired by work presented at SIGGRAPH 2018, I led the collaboration with NASA’s Visualization Studio and NYT colleagues to interpret volumetric satellite data in an interactive, data-driven story.
